Flowers are deep-yellow and the leaves are somewhat succulent. Basal leaves are topped by leafy, erect or arching, 2-6 ft. stalks and one-sided clusters of large, bright yellow flower heads. Salt water-tolerant and can be found growing in many soil moisture conditions, including sandy dunes and marshes. Growing height can vary, with some specimens only reaching 2 feet tall while other populations grow as tall as 8 feet!  Trim Seaside Goldenrod in late spring to maintain a shorter stature. Is an aggressive spreader - remove spent flowers before seed heads form to prevent spread by seed.
