Baptisia tinctoria - Yellow wild indigo

Beautiful yellow flowers bloom long after other Baptisias have stopped. The small flowers produce just one seed per pod. A leguminous, nitrogen fixing, small shrub-like perennial. Has a taproot - not ideal for leach-field plantings.
