    Prefers full to part sun, in wet to medium soils. Grows up to 3’ tall. Blooms July to October. A beautiful late season flower that is easy to grow and adaptable. Will form colonies, is a short lived perennial that will reseed itself. Contains toxic compounds that are harmful if eaten in large quantities - deer resistant.

  • Ecological importance

    The tubular deep-blue flowers attract large numbers of bees, butterflies, moths (including the Nocturnal sphinx moth) and hummingbirds. It is typically pollinated by bumblebees.
